CNS 1st Annual Golf Classic-Trump National Golf Club

Adding to the growing list of exciting CNS outreach events, last week CNS volunteers in New York pulled together the 1st Annual Children's Neurobiological Solutions Foundation Charity Golf Classic to benefit the CNS Children's Future Fund. Held at the end of May at Trump National Golf Club in Briarcliff Manor, New York, the golf outing raised upwards of $40,000! We are grateful to the indefatigable planning committee of Barry Kleiman, Jolene Mirenna, Phill Richmond, Sue Ellen Strong, and Fred & Lisa Trump for their extraordinary efforts on behalf of CNS to create this very successful event. Here is their account of the day's activities.

Michelle's Big Yard Sale

Michelle's 3rd Annual Big Bash Yard Sale in Palatine, Illinois, once again heroically organized by CNS Parents Action Committee member Susan Filar, her husband Richard Jacques, and their dear family and friends.

CNS Awareness Week Photo Album

Santa Barbara Mayor Marty Blum has proclaimed the week of September 11 through September 17 "CNS Awareness Week in the City of Santa Barbara." The Mayor's participation joins a national campaign by the Santa Barbara-based Children's Neurobiological Solutions Foundation (CNS) to bring serious and timely recognition to the 14 million children in this country who live with neurological disorders. Founded by local resident Fia Richmond, CNS is a national nonprofit committed to projecting a unique voice for special-needs children, calling for a "no boundaries" approach to scientific research.

CNS Day With the Chicago White Sox Photo Album

Friday, September 9, CNS parents came out in force to attend the
inaugural CNS Day with the Chicago White Sox. A public service announcement was played before the game featuring CNS families and the CNS mission. CNS parent Denise Bohn writes: "It was a beautiful night. The PSA on the big scoreboard was incredible to see. The seats were great, the kids were happy and singing 'Take Me out To The Ball Game' and cheering on the 'Sox.' They loved the fireworks (for the home runs) and ate plenty of hot dogs and popcorn. The families had a fun night of socializing with each other. The Lees win the contest for staying the longest - till the last out after 12 innings. The Sox lost, but everyone had a great night."

Michelle's Big Holiday Sale

Michelle's Fall Sale took place on a chilly October day. This sale specialized in Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Halloween items. It also had had many coats, boots, and clothing geared towards Chicago's winter climate. The nippy weather didn't keep the customers away as practically everything sold. Customers recognized the sale as being related to Michelle's Big Summer Sale, showing that awareness of CNS is increasing in the community. Over $2100.00 was raised for CNS in this very successful event!

On June 5th, the 2nd Annual CNS Foundation Charity Golf & Tennis Classic was held at the world renowned Trump National Golf Club in Briarcliff Manor, NY.
